Normal Sept. temps return mid-week; fall color update

Fall intruded rudely on the end of our summer last week with much of Minnesota waking up to frost advisories over the weekend. The next few days, though, will feel more like mid-September.

Here's the latest from the Twin Cities National Weather Service:

Historically, this is the last week of the calendar when Twin Cities high temperatures average in the 70s, according to data from the Minnesota Climatology Working Group. Next week, the average highs here fall into the 60s

Cooler weather, of course, means color. Here's the latest Minnesota Department of Natural Resources map on fall color:
