Tears of weather joy, fantastic forecast ahead
I won't be shocked if some Minnesotans actually weep over our weather the next 72 hours. The mildest forecast in over seven months is here, and the weather looks good into the first part of Memorial Day Weekend.
Cue the confetti.
High pressure drifts overhead like a protective blanket over Minnesota the next few days. For once, much needed rainfall stays south where it will be welcome in the drought-stricken Central Plains.
By Saturday the color red may actually appear again on the weather maps as warmer air filters in. The cabin cast looks great as we head into the first big weekend of "summer" in Minnesota.
The next 72 hours look mostly dry, with scattered storms probably holding off until Sunday in eastern Minnesota and the metro. Five to seven days above 70 degrees? That hasn't happened since last September last year.
Enjoy!
