Fleeting summer of 2013
I know, no one wants to think about the possibility that our summer could be this short. But you have to wonder what the good folks in Silver Bay (34 degrees) and International Falls (37 degrees) are thinking this morning.
Meanwhile, scattered showers persist with our latest cool front today…both up north and in/near the metro and much of southern Minnesota.
You can see the latest Twin Cities radar loop here as the showers evolve today.
Short summer of 2013?
An “omega block” is keeping Minnesota cool while Alaska enjoys the second warmest summer on record with 31 days above 80 so far this summer in Fairbanks. Meanwhile, our unseasonably cool pattern holds into next week.
There is hope that it will warm up for State Fair time, with highs in the low to mid 80s a good possibility.
Stay tuned. And hang in there!
