MPR Weather Lab live blog: Latest “winter” storm rages overnight

The 'Little Storm That Could" continues to rage overnight.

Snow bands will pinwheel around the low overnight, gradually moving off to the northeast toward morning. Another 1" to 3" is likely in most metro areas by Friday morning.

I've bumped expected metro snow totals from 4" to 8" to an overall 5" to 11" metro range by midday Friday. Look for a solid 6" to 14+" from Redwood Falls through Annandale, St. Cloud & Duluth & North Shore.

Near blizzard conditions and no travel is recommended by MNDOT in west central and southwest Minnesota overnight.
