REMEMBER…A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE

FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH

AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR

THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND DO OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.

LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE THE PRIMARY SEVERE STORM THREATS. AN ISOLATED TORNADO OR TWO CANNOT BE RULED OUT GIVEN THE POTENTIAL FOR EMBEDDED SUPERCELLS…BUT RATHER MODEST LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE FOR EARLY AUGUST AND A PREDOMINANTLY LINEAR CONVECTIVE MODE SUGGEST THE TORNADO RISK WILL REMAIN SOMEWHAT LIMITED.
