A stormy and very wet weekend
In addition to the storm reports (tornado, straight-line winds, and hail), many of our Minnesota weather observers reported a very wet weekend. Over the Friday through Monday morning period rainfall totals of 2 inches or more were very widespread, ranging from 2.33 inches at Dodge Center to 2.02 inches at Park Rapids. Even large amounts of rainfall were reported as Blue Earth, Mora, Buffalo, and Forest Lake received over 3 inches. Rockford, Chanhassen, and Andover reported over 4 inches of rainfall.
