Snow getting started

Here's a snapshot of the regional radar shortly before 3PM CST.

Snow will begin falling steadily in western and south central Minnesota by dusk. Snowfall totals will range up to six inches from Granite Falls to Redwood Falls and Owatonna by 3AM on Friday,

Snowfall from Alexandria to the Twin Cities should be on the order of two to three inches overnight.

Updated target area for snowfall totals of greater than four inches.

The most difficult highway travel will come after dark. Be prepared for slick roadways in western and southern Minnesota.
