Rainfall boosting river levels

Confused seasons on the weather deck at the weather lab this morning as spring rain eats away at winter's snow piles.

The rain will continue to come in waves today, and the rivers are starting to show a response to rainfall and snowmelt. So far most of the rivers in southern Minnesota are rising slowly. But there are already flood warnings out for rivers in northern Iowa.

Winnebago River at Mason City, Iowa forecast to hit flood stage Thursday and crest this weekend.
