Skirting the Twin Cities

This next developing snowmaker is likely to produce accumulating snow in southwest Minnesota. You'll recall from Dr. Seeley's recent blog that southwest Minnesota set snowfall records for December. Several inches of fluffy snow can be expected. Blowing and drifting snow will hamper travel overnight and into Thursday.

Here in the metro we will cloud over and moderate to the warmest temperature of the new year. Snow is more likely south of the Twin Cities.

Another arctic blast arrives on the heels of this snow system. Bundle up on Thursday morning.
