Icy roads through Friday morning

It's that time of the year again when Minnesotans relearn our winter driving skills.

A broad cold upper level low pressure system is spinning overhead.

Scattered snow showers will continue tonight in much of Minnesota and Wisconsin. With temperatures below freezing there is enough accumulation in places to cause icy road conditions in much of the region.

So far, reports of slick and icy roadways seem to be most common in south central Minnesota. Since the snow showers are scattered in nature, icy roads may pop up anywhere through Friday.
