Source for flood information

As chief meteorologist for NOAA in the Twin Cities from 1991 to 2006, I worked closely with the staff of both the Remote Sensing Center and the North Central River Forecast Center. We shared office space at NOAA's facility in Chanhassen. I understand the process, the coordination efforts and the tremendous forecast challenge being presented on the Red River.

Thanks to the availability of data on the internet, we are able to plug directly into their information. They are working to deliver the best forecast possible given the collective talents and experience of the forecast staff.
