Didn’t go un-noticed

When I awoke on Saturday morning, I already had that meteorologist's intuition that the daylight seemed a little enhanced. It was due to the fresh covering of a half inch of snowfall.

I probed a few folks and learned that in a matter of not much more than an hour, there was sufficient snowfall very early Saturday morning to slick up the roadways.

Computer models had posted a less than a ten percent chance of measurable precipitation during the night time hours. Yet, the Twin Cities International Airport recorded 0.02 inches of precpitation and a half inch of snowfall.

A somewhat similiar weather pattern appears to be showing up on the weather maps for Thanksgiving Day. Let's play this one as if we learned something from Friday night. Right now I'm thinking the best chance for an inch or two will be from about Brainerd to International Falls.

Welcome back to our Chief Meteorologist, Paul Huttner, who is piloting the weather lab during All Things Considered. He'll be keeping you advised on this chance for light snow.
