The circulation of the weakened Hurricane Ike combined with a cool front to enhance the surface winds in the Ohio Valley on Sunday. Winds gusted to 75 mph in Louisville.

    A question- why do storms from the ocean, like Ike, cyclones or just your run of the mill, not pick up the “salt” from the ocean, but only the water. A storm as strong as a hurricain or cyclone, it seems, would have the power to pull up even the fish as well.
