Setting back the calendar

On the brink of Halloween, when temperatures can be delightful or frightful, we are seeing temperatures on the thermometer more typical of mid-September. This afternoon’s temperatures are more representative of Kansas City or Louisville, as we embrace readings in the 60s to the 70s.

The 2005 Energy Policy Act delays the fall back of Central Standard Time one week. I didn’t see anything in the Act about setting the thermometer back a month.
