In partnership with community radio station KFAI and nearby Augsburg College, The Cedar has organized a benefit concert  for Jan. 24 featuring Spider John Koerner, The Brass Messengers, Martin Devaney, Southside Desire, Augsburg JIVE, DJ Go Getta and others.

The blaze claimed the lives of three people, displaced the tenants of 10 residential units, and consumed the Otanga Grocery Store located on the ground floor of the building.
