An adult puppet show inspired by baby boomer cartoons, performance lit at the Ritz Theater and a roots music revue all made the hounds sit up and take notice.

Anthony says Minnesota luminaries Robert Robinson, J.D. Steele, Tonia Hughes and Larry Long, who are all friends, will take you on an amazing American musical journey all night long.

Twin Cities puppeteer Soozin Hirschmugl says "Cartoon," at In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theater in Minneapolis, made her dad laugh harder than she's ever seen a human being laugh when they saw it previewed last year. It's about a failed fictional animated series which borrows heavily from the TV cartoon days of yore. Jan. 16-19 and 23-36 at HOBT.

Twin Cities actor Billie Jo Konze wants to party with "Revolver" magazine, this time at the Ritz Theater in Minneapolis. Billie Jo says the online publication is continuing its tradition of crazy, conceptual literary gatherings with "Revolver at the Ritz," which will feature twelve experiments in literary performances.
