Adieu Summer Concert to celebrate diverse music in St. Paul

After a busy summer of concerts and outdoor music festivals, musicians and their fans will soon move indoors.

But before the rush to the doors begins, there is still time for a few good shows. Among those many won’t want to miss is the Adieu Summer Concert 2013, which takes place Sunday at the historic Lake Como Pavilion in St. Paul.

The event kicks off at 4 p.m. with a performance by The Talking Strings, which features violinist Gary Schulte and guitarist Pavel Jany.

At 4:30 p.m., the Lau Hawaiian Collective takes the stage. It includes Kauai native vocalist and ukulele player Kim Sueoka.

Then, at 5:15 p.m., the musicians of Ticket To Brasil will perform their repertoire of bossa nova, samba and Afro-Brazilian jazz. The group features Jany, Brazilian artists Joyce Perez, Natania Kamin and Josue Alfaro with special guest Doug Little on sax.

The concert concludes with a 6:30 show by Bluesion, a group that fuses Native American music with jazz and blues

Don’t miss it.
