A look ahead at the Minneapolis skyline with a new stadium

There might be lacrosse and soccer fields, even a sledding hill in the new park being planned just west of the new Vikings stadium. Ryan VP Rick Collins had a show and tell tonight for the city's Stadium Implementation Committee. The committee passed a resolution of support for the $400 million plan, which could include 1 million square feet of office space for Wells Fargo.

Here are some of the new renderings and imagery Ryan Cos. from the presentation this afternoon.  The first is a comparison of the elevations of the Vikings stadium, top right, shown to scale with the proposed Ryan Cos. development, City Hall and skyscrapers in the central business district:

Chuck Lutz, of the city's Community Planning and Economic Development department, said the development could be before the City Council for tentative approval as soon as the second week of July. That would greenlight negotiations with the city and Ryan for a term sheet and final details on the planned development.
