New stadium authority spokeswoman

The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority is playing its cards pretty close to the vest these days, what with a billion dollars worth of contracts floating around and everybody from carpenters to photographers hanging around, trying to figure out how to get a piece of the action.

The MSFA posted an opening for a communications director this summer, and hasn't said much about who might take the job. But we spotted the above posting on LinkedIn today. Looks like there's an announcement about Jenn Hathaway pending in Minneapolis, although the MSFA isn't officially saying anything yet.

Hathaway has been working in Chicago,  as a government relations and public outreach project manager for Metro Strategies. But she's no stranger to Minnesota or high profile assignments. She was a White House intern in the second Clinton administration and a Democratic National Committee staffer. She was communications director for MSFA executive director Ted Mondale's 1998 gubernatorial bid, and a communications staffer over at the Met Council when he turned up there as chair of the council -- where MSFA general counsel Jay Lindren was regional administrator at the time, as it happens.

It looks like they're getting the whole band back together for the big show at the Metrodome.
