Why Inver Hills is targeting middle-ranked students

"There are a lot of kids we're missing with College in the Schools or AP. It’s preparing them for college and actually helping them see that there is potential and they are college material."

--  District 196 Superintendent Jane Berenz to an InverGroveHeightsPatch reporter on why her district is teaming up with Inver Hills Community College to establish dual-enrollment courses. The program will target first-generation, low-income and ethnic students who earn Bs and Cs -- students who have college potential but who need help to prepare for postsecondary studies.
