Report: How the State Grant looked in 2011

The state Office of Higher Education released its annual report for the State Grant late yesterday afternoon.

Here's a copy, and I'm going through it, but I've also got a call in for some interpretation.

Meanwhile, here's what a spokeswoman for the office wrote:

Page 9 shows that a significant portion of Independent, Not Married with Dependents students make less than $40,000 a year;

Page 17 shows that income decline due to losses in wages and other incomes were concentrated among lower –income families for the second year; and

Page 18 indicates that Federal Pell Grants to Minnesota students have increased by 517% since 1999-2000.
