Why Gustavus thinks reading for fun isn't dead — just on hold

Gustavus Adolphus junior Tristan Richards, an avid reader, nonetheless tells U.S. News & World Report why she doesn't read much for pleasure while in college:

"I just don't carry a book around [with] me anymore because I should be using my time for school. And personally, when I have a ton of pages to read for class, I'm really sick of looking at words by the end of it."

The article focuses on a recent Gustavus survey, conducted by two Gustavus librarians, that show nine in 10 students polled like to read for fun -- but feel they don't have the time to do it.
