Why are those bags lying around in some Gustavus dormitory halls?

Gustavus Adolphus sophomore Drew Olmen says in The Gustavian Weekly why North Hall (part of the dorm facility unofficially known as "Complex") seems to have a rampant tidiness problem:

“It is very messy. You just learn to work around it. Literally, after Saturday night, only two showers work because the rest are full of trash.”

The college's student senate is looking into the problem. The college apparently has no trash policy, and some students aren't using the garbage chutes -- and are instead stacking trash in the halls and near emergency doors.
