Why some Mankato students think their dorms are haunted

The Reporter describes a number of experiences that have led some students at Minnesota State University - Mankato to think some dorm rooms (especially those in the Crawford Residence Community) are haunted:

Immediately after getting into the car, he told Vang that she saw a girl in a black velvet dress with reddish textile patterns on them and messy dark hair covering her face crouching in the corner of his room smiling and humming. She also told him that the ghost was attracted to him, which was why he experienced frequent chills and nightmares. Vang and his roommate both changed rooms in spring and didn’t have any ghostly encounters for the rest of the year.
