Report: U is monitoring coaches' phone calls

I don't know how sports oversight works -- and I'm assuming this is standard -- but I found it interesting:

From a legal report to the Regents:

A significant achievement for the Athletic Compliance Office during the 2010-11 academic year was the purof a recruiting phone call monitoring software program, which has provided a more efficient system for monitoring coaches’ phone calls to potential recruits. This is a proactive system that alerts coaches if they are about to make an impermissible phone call to a high school athlete. In addition, this phone call software does not allow impermissible text messages to be sent to a prospective student-athlete. This system has provided the appropriate checks and balances recommended by the NCAA for Division I athletic programs.
