Like University of Minnesota President Erik Kaler, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system Chancellor Steven Rosenstone was also recently interviewed on Capitol Report after having been about a week in office.
A couple of tidbits:
What’s your vision?
“Well, most importantly, given this critical juncture in this our own state, we need to be there to ensure that we’re meeting Minnesota’s workforce needs. We’re part of the solution of how Minnesota is going to pull itself out of the last several years. And simply put: We need to be educating more students better than ever before. And by the way, we need to be doing it for less money given the cuts that we’ve received from the state of Minnesota.”
What can MnSCU students expect under your leadership?
“A better education, a better price – we’re going to keep it cost-effective — great partnerships with communities around the state, and a continued (commitment to access). We are still going to be and will always be the place of hope and opportunity and we will have a place for every single student in Minnesota that seeks a higher education.”
