Some residents object to proposed Normandale parking ramp

The proposed 400-space, multistory parking ramp meant to serve Normandale Community College has apparently run up against a little neighborhood opposition, Minn Local reports:

The council also heard objections from several residents who expressed concern about the proposed location. Concerns about noise, lighting and aesthetics were enough to convince the council the proposal was worth another look. College officials concurred, agreeing to revisit its proposal with an eye toward receiving the city's approval Aug. 1.

... In response to residential concerns about the proposal the college agreed to include neighborhood representatives as part of its design advisory committee and review issues such as lighting, noise and landscaping.
