How the feds' list of expensive colleges could affect those institutions

FinAid publisher Mark Kantrowitz, whose online guide analyzes financial aid and university costs, tells the  Times Education Supplement one reason the U.S. Department of Education recently rolled out a site called www.collegecost.ed.gov, that reveals which colleges and universities have been most expensive, as well as those whose tuition has risen most quickly:

. "It's a public shaming. I have no doubt that the colleges at the top of these lists, their presidents and chancellors are discussing it. Reputation does matter to these institutions."
