How a woman identified what could be a lost Tommie camera

Are these folks Tommies?

Tami Thye-Harold of Grand Junction, Colo., apparently found a camera on a United Airlines seat more than a year ago and has been trying to find the owner — who she thinks might be a University of St. Thomas alum or have some other connection to the university.

She has looked at the camera’s photos — such as the one above — and searched for items that might help identify the people.

The university reports on its Web site:

“I’ve looked through the pictures and I see very clearly there is a St. Thomas magnet on the fridge,” (Thye-Harold) noted. “I’ve also magnified the collar on the cat and I can see what I assume to be part of a phone number (763-667- ).” Area Code 763 covers the northern Twin Cities area.

… In addition to the couple and the cat, the camera contains Halloween pictures, and pictures of a Minnesota Vikings game (possibly played Sept. 19, 2010, against the Miami Dolphins).
