Tommies turning down landlines in dorms

“I’ve never used my landline. I tried to set it up, but I couldn’t figure it out. It sits in the corner – it doesn’t do anything.”

University of St. Thomas freshman Lauren Mumm telling TommieMedia about the lack of use of the line in her dorm room. The news service reports that more and more students have turned down the option of dorm lines because they have their own cell phones.

(Hats off to one of the holdouts, though: Sophomore Vinnie Floeder, who has no cell phone, and says he does just fine with a landline, thank you.)
