1.4Minnesota Statutes 2010, sections 135A.157; 135A.26; 181.986.

1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 135A.145, subdivision 1, is amended to

1.7read:

1.8 Subdivision 1. Prohibited practices. No public or private postsecondary

1.9educational institution, including its agents, employees, student or alumni organizations,

1.10or affiliates, may:

1.11 (1) sell, give, or otherwise transfer to any card issuer the name, address, telephone

1.12number, or other contact information of an undergraduate student at the postsecondary

1.13educational institution without the student's consent; or.

1.14 (2) enter into any agreement to market credit cards to undergraduate students at

1.15a postsecondary educational institution.

1.16 For purposes of this section, the terms "credit," "credit card," and "card issuer"

1.17have the meanings given them in the Truth in Lending Act, United States Code, title 15,

1.18section 1602.

1.19 Sec. 2. REPEALER.

1.20Minnesota Statutes 2010, sections 135A.157; 135A.26; and 181.986, are repealed.
