The Concordian student paper reports on how Concordia is cutting 17 positions through layoffs and attrition so it can reallocate $1.5 million -- but tries to play down how it might hit students:
The committee’s focus is on student impact. Brown said the changes will not negatively affect students. She speculates that a cancelled class is most likely the most negative impact a student would have to endure.
Am I off, or isn't a canceled class the most negative impact a student would endure?
The administration had no real details on the restructuring, but I'll try to keep an eye on what develops.
Edit: To clarify, this is Concordia College in Moorhead, not Concordia University in St. Paul.
