There are angels who walk among us and they are mostly unrecognized until they pick up a paintbrush in a hospital and turn a necessary mask that scares kids with cancer into a Star Wars character who could be the difference between living and dying.

The video was produced two weeks ago, says Laura High, a spokesperson for St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

“At that time Evan was in the midst of his 30-day treatment. His scans came back yesterday and his team let me know today he is cancer free,” she said in an e-mail.
