Blue Jays, Twins fans agree to tie knot

There are many mysteries around Target Field this year, including “Who are the 11-32 Minnesota Twins to lecture the American League MVP on how to play the game?

But this one is pretty puzzling too: How do you sneak in a big “She Said Yes” sign with your girlfriend without her seeing it because you haven’t proposed to her yet?

It happened during Saturday’s game.

[Update 5/24 11:18 a.m.] – I heard today from Jonathan Ng, the soon-to-be bridegroom.

Great blog yesterday on our proposal at the Twins game on Saturday, thanks for the shout-out.

We had lunch at the Butcher & Boar after the game and were treated by the restaurant and several guests, including Brian Dozier, who was dining at the table next to us. He approached us and said that he recognized us from the game. Very classy guy.

Minneapolis will have always have a special place in our hearts. You live in a wonderful city.

But what about the sign?

The sign was made by FASTSIGNS downtown (free of charge!) and delivered to the Twins front office before the game. Glo Westerdahl from the Twins arranged the scoreboard announcement and delivery of the sign to us following the proposal. It’s a well-oiled machine at Target Field. We were treated very well by the people of Minneapolis.
