106-year-old woman gets to dance at the White House

Here’s your daily, weekly, and monthly dose of sweetness.

Virginia McLaurin was 104, when she was honored for working 40 hours a week working with students with severe mental and physical challenges. At the time, she had one wish: She wanted to meet the nation’s first black president.

Mission accomplished.

She was invited to attend a celebration at the White House for Black History Month.

“I thought I would never live to get in the White House, and I tell you, I am so happy. A black president. A black wife. And I’m here to celebrate black history,” she said.
