Great hockey, but, oh, that hair!

As Angela Jimenez’s images here on the MPR News site conveyed, there’s nothing quite like the boys’ state hockey tournament in Minnesota. It’s NHL-caliber play (or nearly so) in a miniature version.

But while people come for the hockey, they might as well stay for the hair, because it, too, has become a tradition apparently unique to flyover country.

For the past five years, ad exec John King has ranked the beauty, the splendor, the wonder of their hair.

Here, then, are this year’s winners in the competition. This year, it benefits the Hendrickson Foundation, which helps disabled hockey players.
