The twin daughters of Michael Wagner have Alagille syndrome, which affects the function of their livers. He’s going to donate a part of his liver for transplant but he’ll have to choose which one will be the recipient. He’s the only match for transplant so far.
They’re trying to find another donor via Facebook. They have only a couple of weeks, the CBC says.
A possible complication: Anyone donating a part of a liver does so at their own expense, and can expect to be out of work for six weeks.
