If you’re heading to the Minnesota State Fair tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday, I hope you’ll stop by the MPR booth at the corner of Judson and Nelson (just follow the pork chop smog).
I’ll be pushing the MPR merchandise from 1-9 p.m., while watching the acts my pals at The Current have planned for the stage. Stop by and chat. We’ll laugh, we’ll cry, we’ll try to figure out why I’m not on a scavenger hunt list this year. And you can tell me weird stories that’ll end up in a blog post.
Posting will be a little light tomorrow and Thursday.
Now, just so reading this post hasn’t been a complete waste of your time, here’s a little tip or two on taking pictures at the Fair at night.
Bob Collins has been with Minnesota Public Radio since 1992, emigrating to Minnesota from Massachusetts. He was senior editor of news in the ’90s, ran MPR’s political unit, created the MPR News regional website, invented the popular Select A Candidate, started the two most popular blogs in the history of MPR and every day laments that his Minnesota Fantasy Legislature project never caught on.
