At U today, ‘Idol’ offers shot at fame, ticket out

Everybody wants to be a star in Minnesota, apparently.

“American Idol” is holding auditions at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis today. And while the show’s ratings have been declining for several years, look at the number of people who showed up in this video posted by Ben Garvin at the Saint Paul Pioneer Press.

People were not allowed to camp out overnight to be the first to get wristbands and their shot at fame.
