Humor? There’s no humor in Stanley Cup playoffs

It’s a fine line that separates good-natured NHL playoff rivalries from you-need-to-get-a-life-status.

Hello, Boston.

The Bruins open their playoff series tonight against the Montreal Canadiens. It’s probably the biggest rivalry in hockey and there’s no rumor for humor, apparently.

In Montreal, a liquor store plastered Montreal Canadiens logos over any mention of Boston on its six packs of Sam Adams Boston Lager.

Pretty funny stuff, unless you need to get a life.

The level of outrage by Boston fans online was so severe, the CBC reports, that the store owner removed them.

Reading the CBC report I suspect that the reason for removing the stickers may have had more to do with the response of Boston Brewing then the Boston hockey fans.
