Inside the Wrigley Field scoreboard

Today marks the 100th birthday of Chicago’s Wrigley Field, which Sports Illustrated calls “the most meaningful sports venue in this country.”

The Associated Press today provides what it says is a rare a behind-the-scenes look inside the still-run-by-hand scoreboard. There are only two left. The Cubs will add a large video scoreboard next year.

By the way, according to CBS Sports, a baseball has never been hit off the scoreboard.
