End of the world arrives for man who predicted it often

Harold Camping has died.

He gave us this billboard in NE Minneapolis a few years ago.

Camping said he had a mathematical formula for determining the end of days but he never shared it, only the result, which, as you probably have figured out, was wrong.

When the world didn’t end in May 2011, he insisted there actually was a spiritual judgment day that day, but we didn’t know about it. He insisted that it would be October for sure.

Around that time he stopped talking about it, said to have been crushed that the world didn’t end, and having suffered a stroke about a month after it was supposed to.
