TSA: Don’t fear the Muslims

Tomorrow marks the start of Ramadan, during which Muslims refrain from eating or drinking any liquids from sunrise to sunset, and focus on their faith.

Don’t let that scare you, the Transportation Security Administration is advising in a press release today.

Ramadan, a holy month for persons of the Muslim faith, begins this year approximately on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 and ends on Thursday, August 8, 2013. TSA understands that this is a significant religious event for the Muslim community. TSA has reminded its security workforce that traveling passengers may be observed at various areas in the airport – including security checkpoints or on aircraft – engaged in religious practices and meditations during Ramadan. TSA would also like to inform the traveling public that they may notice passengers who are observing Ramadan engaging in the following activities at the airports:

Passengers observing Ramadan will abstain from any food, water, smoking or vices of any kind.
Passengers observing Ramadan may be more likely to engage in prayer at airports or on airplanes while traveling than at other times during the year.
Before prayer, Muslims go through ablution, i.e., a cleansing or washing of certain areas of the body that is usually done in private if possible, but may be observed in airport restrooms.
Passengers observing Ramadan may be seen reading, listening to or orally reciting the Holy Qur’an at airports and on airplanes.
Passengers observing Ramadan may carry prayer beads and “whisper” prayers constantly.

I rarely praise the TSA, but good for them for being pro-active on this.
I always know when Ramadan is coming when the big tent goes up outside the Marina Restaurant in NE Mpls. Their post-sundown fast business spikes during Holy Month, and they extend their seating to the parking lot. PS: You should try their lunch buffet. It’s very good.

TSA admonishes Americans to respect Muslims who may be acting suspiciously while traveling for Ramadan, they search and humiliate a decorated and disable Marine and families of the Asiana crash victims like they are dangerous criminals.

What on earth is wrong with this country when a government agency hires criminals and pedophiles to strip search old women, grope children in wheelchairs but gives a free pass to members of the people responsible for 9/11 and all this security theater that we have to endure. How many children and elderly women crashed planes into the Towers and Pentagon?

Everyone who works at TSA should be tried for treason and crimes against the people. Al-Qaeda has defeated America and robbed us of our sense of decency and common sense.
