“Changing your avatar is the new standing in front of tanks,” someone wrote on Twitter (or Facebook, I forget which) yesterday. Maybe, but there are no tanks to stand in front of at the moment so people in favor of same-sex marriage are resorting to the only statement that feel able to make as the Supreme Court completes two days of hearings into separate cases surrounding same-sex marriage.
