One more reunion

It was 20 years ago — hard as that may be to believe — that Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, Madonna and Rosie O’Donnell starred in a League of Their Own, a tribute to the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, which sprung out of the fact the men in the major and minor leagues in the ’40s were shipping off to war.

Today, in Syracuse, several of the women from the league are participating in a reunion game.

There are only 48 of the players still alive, down from 125 just nine years ago.
