Public radio humor (continued)

Great. A new item in the “public radio humor category.

I wish my name was Greg Studley.

Bob, you don’t appear to be a fan of these public radio humor bits. You have to admit though–they did a pretty good job getting everyone’s name in there.

// Bob, you don’t appear to be a fan of these public radio humor bits.

    You’re basing that on….?

  • Ryan

Perhaps I read too much of a frown into your lead-in to the video. Apologies.

  • Rick Mons

I thought the lead-in was somewhat ambiguous in terms of Bob’s reaction. Read it as a sarcastic “Great” with the implicit inflection and one could see it as a negative assessment. Alternately, read it as “Great” with an enthusiastic inflection and one can see it as a positive response

After watching the clip and having been a fairly regular reader of Newscut, I chose to interpret it as positive. But until I saw it, I was unsure.

Chalk it up to the occasional emotional flatness of written words.

    Cute.

(To be interpreted both positively and negatively.)

This makes me miss Jeff Horwich and “In the Loop”.
