Minnesota – June 14-15, 2008

The first of the images describing a diverse weekend in Minnesota are coming in. We’re off to a fine start. I’ll add to them through the day today and put the latest ones first. Details of what we’re doing can be found here.

So come on, Minnesota! Let’s see what a typical weekend looks like from one end of the state to the other. You can use this form to submit them (preferred), or upload them via Flickr.com and tag them “minnesotaweekend” or “weekendminnesota.”

Update Monday 2:45 p.m. – Here’s this week’s News Cut appearance on Morning Edition. I believe my chatting with Wurz will be a weekly thing.

Fun project, Bob. Even the weather cooperated.

    Downloading my card now ;)

  • Kathy Lewinski (katbaro on Flickr)

This was a fun project & I was happy to see two of mine included but make sure to credit the photos. The one I took of cleaning up the branches from Saturday’s storm isn’t credited.

  • Bob Collins

Part of the reason it wasn’t credited, Kathy, is there’s no name mentioned for the Flickr-submitted photos. Usernames don’t really tell anybody anything about identity. Thanks for providing yours and I’ll be sure to credit it .

It was fun to participate. Definitely would do so again.

  • kathy Lewinski (katbaro on Flickr)

The only reason I mentioned it was you did credit the other one with my Flickr name & that’s all I was looking for. Cheers!

  • Bob Collins

Yep, saw that, too. Apologies. And thanks for the pix! That storm Saturday night was just weird. Big-time wind that came from nowhere. I thought sure we’d lose some trees.

Bob this was an awesome project! Fun! A great diversity of life!

Likewise–I like the project. Traveling to Gibbon for the wedding gave me a lot of time to think about the different parts that make up Minnesota. When I came home and caught up on NewsCut, there was your photo idea which tied to what I was thinking about while driving…thanks!
