9:00 The effects of unemployment on individuals is clear: Loss of income, housing and lack of career experience. But what do we know about the impact of unemployment on the children of the unemployed?

10:00 The killing of Osama Bin Laden in 2011 was the culmination of a 10-year search for the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks. Peter Bergen’s book “Manhunt” documents that search and the extraordinary effort to determine Bin Laden’s whereabouts.

Here’s a story from CNN’s Nic Robertson about Bin Laden’s hideout:

During the debate today – in light of hurricane Sandy, what about asking about global climate change? I am sure the candidates differ on that issue.

How important would you say geo-engineering has become in our society? Recently I have heard the statistic that we havent had a “natural” day of weather for over 20 years.. every UN nation member has HAARP antennae in their country, this is a fact. . Why dont we here more about weather altering systems like the ones used for the Chinese Olympic games, and how are we to be sure these tools are being used properly and not as tools of eco-terrorism?

    Thanks For considering my question.

I listened to the 3rd district debate today. it was clearly a debate between Kerri Miller and Eric Paulson. Why did you even invite Brian Barnes? Kerri Miller aggesively grilled Eric Paulson for two minutes, gave ten seconds for Barnes to answer a softball and went back to antagonizing Paulson. My daughter worked for Barnes’ campaign and even she said at times it seemed Brian had to interrupt Miller in order to respond to Paulson. It was embarassing to listen to such an obviously biased moderator. I can only rember one follow up question to Barnes, and three or four almost adverserial followups for every Paulson answer. I know Kerri Miller has a reputation of tolerating Republicans and giving free reign to liberals, but this was beyond the pale. at least have the decency to rename the show to “The Daily Leftist”. bring back Gary Eichten to at least moderate debates. He was the epitomy of what “public” radio should be. he was fair to all his guests regardless of affiliation or opinion.
