I’ve been under-employed for over 5 years, but have been lucky enough to find decent paying part-time work. I’m wondering, as the workforce has aged over the last 5 to 7 years, could this be a factor in under-employment or lack of jobs? Perhaps some sort of disguised age discrimination?

So the one caller had medical bills for his son, he and his wife have jobs. Why is it that unforseen medical bills lead to foreclosure? That is very common now. The issue is medical costs even with insurance will bancrupt working people. That’s not right. We need more “affordable care act” not less.

The two experts disagreed on how the fed and treasury handled the economic collapse. They flooded the banks with money because we were in a worst case scenario. If all the banks collapse we would be in deep trouble. I can accept their choice. What I can’t accept is that not enough has been done to keep this situation from happening again.

I lost my job during the last year. I am working as a “contractor” which meens I have been hired in my field, but not as an employee. I can be let go at any time. I see more job opennings lately, but most are these contractor positions with no benefits. When do you see this situation changing?
