‘Beyond the Beautiful Forevers’ and other books about living in poverty
Katherine Boo, author of Behind the Beautiful Forevers, joined Kerri Miller on the show Thursday. The book is an account of families living in the shantytowns of Mumbai.
Kerri asked if anyone had book recommendations related to the topic.

Boo didn't read any Indian fiction to inspire her own writing; she read Robert Bolano's acclaimed novel 2666.
